BETHLEHEM, Pa. – It’s a six-peat! USA Today 10Best has announced that Historic Hotel Bethlehem earned the top spot as America’s Best Historic Hotel/Resort for the sixth year in a row.
This year’s nominations were carefully curated by a panel of subject matter experts and USA TODAY 10Best editors before being voted on by the public, says a news release.
“You are judged by the company you keep. It’s clear our beloved ‘Hotel B’ is among the best of the best. That’s thanks to our community, our partners, and our dedicated team,” said Historic Hotel Bethlehem Managing Partner Bruce Haines.
Haines says he is continuously overwhelmed by the community support the hotel receives every year, sharing that as soon as Historic Hotel Bethlehem’s Facebook page announced this year’s nomination, the community chimed in with support.
Crowd reaction to Hotel Bethlehem’s win
The hotel shared that it has leveraged media recognition to create robust national PR and marketing campaigns that have directly increased tourism in Bethlehem.
“Transient leisure business has increased about 20% since last year. In July, we saw an impressive 50% increase,” said Haines.
The news release says the campaigns are based on multiple #1 award recognitions, including the hotel’s repeated USA Today 10Best victories and Bethlehem’s two consecutive USA Today Best Main Street awards, which the hotel’s PR and marketing teams worked to secure.
Haines also credited the “power of partnerships” with local Bethlehem organizations that contribute to overall campaign success.
According to officials, this is the eighth consecutive year USA Today has included the local landmark on its 10Best nomination list. Historic Hotel Bethlehem came in third place in 2019, moved up to second in 2020, and won first place from 2021-2016.
The news release shares that Historic Hotel Bethlehem is the only property in the Best Historic Hotel/Resort category to ever win six consecutive times.
