Hiker dies on Mt. Hale Brook trail in Bethlehem, New Hampshire, officials say
BETHLEHEM, N.H. —
A hiker has died while on the Mt. Hale Brook Trail in Bethlehem, New Hampshire, Fish and Game officials said.
New Hampshire Fish and Game said they were notified that a hiker had collapsed on the trail at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The caller said the man was unresponsive, and that lifesaving measures were being attempted.
Rescuers hiked about a mile up the trail to help the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials did not release a cause of death or any additional information about the man’s identity and are reaching out to his family.
The hiker’s body was carried down the trail by conservation officers and members of the Pemi Valley Search and Rescue Team.
