On March 20, 2026, the remains of an unidentified individual were found on 312 East Gore Road in the 300 Block of East Grandview Boulevard.
According to Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook the remains were identified August 12 with help from the Mercyhurst Forensic team and Millcreek Police as missing man Thomas Bean 44, of Noxen Pennsylvania.
The coroner stated that Bean had been deceased for an unknown amount of time. It was determined that there was no foul play involved and that his death cannot be determined due to how long his remains were exposed to the elements.
