On Aug. 12 at approximately 12:41 a.m., the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received an auto crash detection on U.S. 36 near County Road 27 in Bethlehem Township.
Upon arrival of deputies, it was determined 37-year-old Michael Lewis of Coshocton was traveling eastbound on U.S. 36 near County Road 27 when he drove off the road to the right and struck a guardrail. The vehicle then redirected and went off the left side of the roadway, went down an embankment and came to rest in a field.
Lewis was transported by CCEMS to Genesis of Zanesville. A passenger in the vehicle was 25-year-old Mackenzie Celeschi of Warsaw, who reported minor injuries and was released on scene by CCEMS.
Assisting at the scene was Coshocton County EMS, Walhonding Valley Fire District and Prince’s Wrecker Service.
