BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Kids in the Bethlehem Area School District got a chance to see their teachers Thursday before stepping into the classroom.
Fountain Hill and Donegan Elementary Schools staff surprised incoming kindergarteners at their homes with a welcome package to kickoff the school year.
Broughal Middle School staff also met incoming students at their homes.
“We got to get kids to kind of come out of their shell a little bit and kind of see a familiar face,” said Donegan Elementary School teacher, Jessica Suarez. “So, it was just really exciting to do that and just be able to connect with families that aren’t able to always come to every event, so it was just really nice.”
Community meet-and-greets were also held at Fountain Hill and Yosko parks.
