Police have taken into custody a man who was wanted in connection to an Oct. 28, 2025, shooting along North Marshall Street in North Philly, that left a 7-year-old girl injured.
Earlier on Tuesday, police said they were seeking help from the public to track down Marrero, who officials claim is responsible for a recent shooting that left a 7-year-old girl hospitalized.
Marrero was taken into custody at the 3700 block of North Percy Street at around 4:30 p.m., police said.
The initial incident unfolded at about 7:13 p.m. on Oct. 28, 2025, when a 7-year-old girl was taken to a Philadelphia hospital after being shot in the arm while riding in the backseat of a vehicle that was traveling along North Marshall Street.
The girl was placed in stable condition, officials said.
Police have not provided further information on how investigators developed Marrero as a suspect. However, six shell casings were found at the scene, police said at the time.
