As CelebrateErie prepares to bring music, art and entertainment to downtown Erie, performers from Erie Dance Theatre are making their final preparations for a busy weekend of performances.
The dance company was hard at work at its Cherry Street studio as dancers rehearsed one last time before the festival begins. Performers spent the day fine-tuning routines and making final adjustments ahead of their appearances on stage.
Erie Dance Theatre is among the many groups scheduled to perform during the three-day festival, helping showcase the region’s artistic talent for residents and visitors alike.
Artistic Director Nathaniel Johnson said he is excited for festivalgoers to see what the dancers have been working on and looks forward to sharing their performances with the community.
Erie Dance Theatre dancers will perform throughout the weekend during CelebrateErie, beginning with a performance on the Main Stage at 6 p.m. Friday. Their appearance will take place just before Preach Freedom’s “The Sweetest Taboo Project” helps launch the festival’s weekend music lineup.
CelebrateErie continues throughout the weekend with a variety of live entertainment, cultural attractions and family-friendly activities in downtown Erie.
