PITTSBURGH — Showers will linger through the early part of this afternoon (1- 2 p.m.) before pushing south and east of Pittsburgh. We’ll see increasing amounts of sunshine later, with highs across most neighborhoods within a degree or two of 80.
The weekend will start out mainly dry, but the next wave of rain and thunder will push in early Sunday morning. Some of that rain could be heavy through about mid-morning, with just scattered showers and storms expected during the afternoon and evening. Many hours will be dry, but watch as any additional storms can lead to a localized flash flood threat.
We’ll see a nice drying trend early next week with seasonable temperatures and more comfortable nighttime lows.
