Inflation at 3.4%
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the seasonally adjusted Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 0.2% in July, despite a 3% drop in gasoline prices. Overall inflation for the past 12 months now stands at 3.4%. This, however, is the average; a more relevant rate for our region is 4.6%.
