TRENTON, N.J. – New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy met Democratic governor-elect Mikie Sherrill at the Governor’s office in Trenton Wednesday.

Murphy attended Sherrill’s watch party Tuesday night and congratulated her.

He said in a post that he looked forward to meeting her to ensure a smooth transition for the people of the state.

Murphy posted on X after the meeting saying that New Jersey is being left in the best hands.
