Flood Watch until Monday morning for parts of southwestern PA
Over an inch of rain is possible for these areas.

Sunday is an Impact Day with the potential for more flash flooding. A Flood Watch will be in effect for parts of southwestern Pennsylvania through 8 a.m. Monday.
Flood Watch
The Flood Watch is for Allegheny, Beaver, Fayette, Greene, Washington, and Westmoreland counties along with Monongalia, Preston and Tucker in West Virginia. The watch begins late tonight and will run through 8 a.m. Monday.

These areas could pick up an additional 1.5″ to 2.5″ with isolated totals of three to five inches of rain. The ground is still very wet and the extra rainfall could easily lead to flash flooding.
Impact Day Sunday: More rain and storms
Rain arrives after midnight and will continue through Sunday, prompting the Impact Day. The heaviest rain is expected before 9 am.

Isolated light showers expected to linger into the afternoon. The question remains – will any clearing develop which could lead to severe weather during the second half of the day. If severe storms develop, damaging winds are the primary threat.
The heavy rain could trigger flash flooding Sunday morning and something we will be watching closely. Rainfall totals will likely top one inch south of Pittsburgh.
