OBITUARY

Geneve Lynn Coddington, 75 of Reading, PA., passed away on August 10th at Berks Heim Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Leesport, where she had resided for the past two years. Born in Buckingham, Quebec, Canada, now Gatineau, on February 27 , 1951, she was the first-born daughter of the late Franklin W. and Julia (Kalbach) Mohney. Geneve was a devoted wife and mother whose main passion was to provide a good home environment for her family even through many health struggles in her life. She loved cooking, planning and hosting parties, a good mystery novel and vacations with her family. She was the wife of James V. Coddington, married 36 years on July 21. Geneve was predeceased by a sister, Deborah Mohney Hoyes, and a brother, Steven Paul Mohney. Surviving in addition to her husband is daughter, Diana L Coddington, Alexandria, VA. , a niece, Hillary Hoyes-Ortiz and cousins of the Kalbach family. A Time to Reflect and Share memories will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Cramp Hummel Funeral Home, 934 Centre Ave., Reading. A receiving time will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
