Patricia R. Bostick

OBITUARY

With love and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of our mom, Patricia “Miss Pat” Bostick, who departed peacefully with her children by her side at the age of 88 on August 6, 2026. The daughter of William and Mary (Kobilarcsik) Sullivan, Patricia was born and raised in Dover, NJ and graduated from Bayley-Ellard High School. In her late teens and twenties, Pat travelled North America and Greenland, entertaining troops and captivating audiences with her dance act duo Phil & Patricia Phillips, even performing with Bob Hope. She met her husband Charles in Whippany, NJ, when he jokingly offered to teach her how to dance. They married in Lancaster, PA in 1962 and later relocated to Allentown, PA, where they raised their 5 children. In 1968, “Miss Pat” welcomed 12 aspiring dancers into her basement studio, which grew to hundreds of students dancing with her each year. Generations of dancers were touched by her kindness, patience, and unwavering belief in their potential. The Patricia Bostick Dance Center was not just a studio, but a trusted and loving family. Even through the summer, rarely did a day go by without a former student or parent bringing hugs, smiles, and laughter for the positive influence she had on their lives. Before every recital, Miss Pat would gather the students to hold hands in the dressing rooms and lead them in prayer prior to the opening number. Pat and Charles purchased a Florida home where they spent 21 wonderful winters with friends in Sun City Center. Miss Pat extended her dance education beyond the Lehigh Valley when she choreographed for and performed with the Sunsations, the senior dance group she led in Florida. Above all else, Pat treasured her family. She was a devoted wife, proud mother, and loving Baba. Pat brought light and laughter wherever she went. She found so much joy in the close relationship of her children. Her greatest pride was in family celebrations and her children’s and grandchildren’s accomplishments. Pat’s faith was her greatest attribute. Her prayers carried so many friends and family through challenging times. She truly loved her parish, the Cathedral of St Catharine of Siena in Allentown, PA, where she and Charles attended daily Mass for over 50 years. Each morning, she would make her way through her stack of prayers. If you told her there was anything going on in your life, even if you barely knew her, she would tell you that she’d pray for you and you never left her prayer list. Pat was preceded in death by her daughter Mari Ann, her husband Charles, and her brother Francis Sullivan. She will be greatly missed by her children, Chuck (Lisa), Jacalyn Lombardi (Nick), Kevin (Rachel), Pattie Winn (Ted), 9 granddaughters, 2 grandsons, and 2 great-granddaughters who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tunnel to Towers (www.t2t.org).

Pat is also asking for people to donate blood.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00AM on Monday August 24, 2026, at the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena. Calling Hours will be 9:00-10:45AM in the church vestibule. Our mom requested that everyone wear bright colors to her service, as she found joy in returning home to our Lord.…and when the music faded, her love continued to dance in the hearts of all who knew her. Arrangements have been entrusted to the O’Donnell Funeral Home in Allentown.
