Betty Lou Gualtieri
OBITUARY
Betty Lou Gualtieri, age 96, passed away peacefully after a short illness on August 1, 2026, in Rochester, NY where she resided for the past 9 years.
Betty was raised outside of Reading, PA in the Pennwyn community. She and her husband Peter J. Gualtieri, who preceded her in death, were long time residents of Syracuse, NY and later relocated to Denver, PA in 1997 to enjoy their retirement.
Betty graduated in the class of 1951, from Abington School of Nursing in Abington, PA. She was a well respected Registered Nurse in the Syracuse area and one of the first Nurse Clinicians in Central NY.
Betty is survived by her daughters Diane (Stephen) Manzler and Jean (Michael) Price; grandchildren David Manzler, John Price, Robert (Jasmine) Price, Emily (Kevin) McAden, and two great grandsons Frederick Price & Thomas McAden; brother-in-law Paul A. (Maureen) Gualtieri; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends and family are invited to a graveside service, where Betty Lou will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Peter on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 11:30 AM in Pleasant View Cemetery, located at 650 Fritztown Rd, Sinking Spring, PA 19608.
