Thousands without power after heavy downpours, storms in Western Pa. Sunday
Thousands were left without power Sunday evening after heavy downpours and storms came through Western Pennsylvania.
West Penn Power’s outage map showed thousands of its customers without power throughout several counties.
As of 6 p.m., the outages reported are as follows per county:
Westmoreland–13,627Fayette–1,728Washington–2,027Allegheny– 1,651Cambria– 1,863Greene– 992
Duquesne Light Company said 3,814 customers in Allegheny County and 2,043 customers in Beaver County were without power.
The outages come as Western Pennsylvania remains under a Flood Watch until Monday morning.
