Traffic on state route 11 (Wyoming Avenue) in Exeter is limited to one lane effective Aug. 17 and wide loads larger than 9 feet are prohobited, borough officials said.
New traffic patterns and parking restrictions are located on Wyoming Avenue, Schooley Avenue, Grant Street and Lincoln Street.
The lane restrictions are necessary due to the Exeter Borough Wyoming Avenue-Schooley Avenue Sewer Improvement Project, which is an 18-month, $9 million project, funded by Wyoming Valley Sanitary Authority revenues, several LSA State Grants, Peoples Security Bank & Trust, and a low-interest USDA Rural Development Loan.
Following the completion of sewer installlation, planned improvements include a new Exeter Borough Community Pavilion, repaving, new sidewalks and new street lighting.
Project updates are provided at Exeter Borough Council meetings. The next meeting is Sept. 1.
