EXETER — Traffic will be limited to one lane on Wyoming Avenue in Exeter beginning Monday, Aug. 17, for a construction project.
According to a news release from the borough, wide loads measuring more than 9 feet are prohibited.
The borough asks motorists to use caution and to show patience to all workers, other drivers, and pedestrians while traveling through the construction zones.
The Exeter Borough Wyoming Avenue-Schooley Avenue Sewer Improvement Project is an 18-month, $9 million project funded by WVSA sewer revenues, several LSA state grants, Peoples Security Bank & Trust, and a low-interest USDA Rural Development Loan.
The news release stated, “The project is the foundation for future growth and beautification in Exeter Borough.”
Following the completion of sewer installation, planned improvements include a new Exeter Borough community pavilion, a full PennDOT Wyoming Avenue/Route 11 street paving, and new Wyoming Avenue sidewalks and street lighting.

Project updates are provided at Exeter Borough Council meetings on the first Tuesday of the month. The next council meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 1.
