SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO. — Scranton Police announcing the arrest of 21-year-old Ricardo Nunez-Cruz in connection to a July 2026 deadly shooting.
Police say the shooting took place in West Scranton killing 39-year-old Clinton Thornton-Hill.
Nunez-Cruz was taken into custody in New York City with the help of the U.S. Marshals Service Regional Fugitive Task Force.
Nunez-Cruz has been charges with felony criminal homicide, two counts of aggravated assault, hindering apprehension or prosecution, firearms not to be carried without a license, and recklessly endangering another person.
He is currently being held at Rikers Island in New York pending extradition to Pennsylvania.
