DuBOIS — A Pittsburgh man is facing charges for allegedly trespassing into a DuBois home on Aug. 12.

DuBois City Police have charged Jonathan Uriah Craddock, 34, of Pittsburgh, with one count of criminal trespassing by entering a structure, a felony of the third degree, and one count of loitering and prowling at nighttime, a misdemeanor of the third degree, according to a criminal complaint filed at Magisterial District Judge David Meholick’s office Aug. 13.

DuBois City Police were dispatched to a South Brady Street residence on Aug. 12, 2026, for a report of man who entered a residence uninvited. The caller advised that a man had entered the residence through the back door of the house and went into the kitchen. The caller asked the man if he was looking for his brother. The man continued to go throughout the house, and the caller exited and contacted 911. The caller stated no one was supposed to be in the residence but himself and his brother. Police arrived and met with the two men, who advised that the suspect was still inside of the residence.

Police observed the man on the front porch roof outside of a bedroom window. He complied with police commands and was placed in handcuffs. While in the back of the patrol vehicle, the man identified himself as Craddock. He was sweating very badly and “dazing in and out,” according to the affidavit of probable cause. He stated he “had no idea whose house he was supposed to go to, and didn’t know where the person lived.” Craddock said he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Police asked why he stayed at the residence knowing this was not the right one, to which he stated he had no idea. Craddock reportedly said, “I am just ready to go to jail.”

Due to Craddock’s behavior, he was transported to the emergency room at Penn Highlands DuBois for evaluation and treatment.

Both the owner of the house and his brother provided a written statement, which said they did not know Craddock and he was not permitted inside of the residence.

Craddock is confined in the Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $150,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 19 at Meholick’s office.
