Police have recovered a stolen truck that, officials claim, was used in an attempt to steal an ATM from a 7-11 in Northeast Philly early Tuesday morning.
According to police, officers recovered a truck at about 6:22 a.m. along the 3300 block of Disston Street after it was abandoned by individuals who attempted to steal an ATM.
As could be seen at the scene, broken chains hung from the truck as officers investigated the vehicle.
Officials said investigators believe thieves attempted to use the truck to steam an ATM at a 7-11 store located at the intersection of Roland and Tyson avenues but, they were unsuccessful.
No one was injured in this incident and officials did not immediately detail damages that this attempted theft may have caused at the 7-11 store.
Police also did not immediately provide any further details about the attempted theft or the suspects sought in this case.
But, investigators are reviewing surveillance video from the store, officials said.
