As we move through fall and already begin to glimpse winter in the early frosts, we’re excited to share all the events, exhibitions, and educational programs the Everhart Museum has to offer in the months ahead. While the foliage may not have blazed with its usual reds and oranges this year, things are certainly vibrant inside the Museum! Come explore what’s new and rediscover your favorite spaces at the Everhart.
Upcoming Events at the Everhart Museum
On Friday, November 7, the Everhart is teaming up with It’s Curtains for You to host Mayhem at the Museum, our first murder mystery dinner in the galleries of the Everhart. Wine, dine, and hunt for clues as you test your sleuthing skills. But be careful…or you could be next! This event includes food by Case Quattro and the first drink, with a cash bar following.

Saturday, November 15 sees the return of Everhart Uncorked, the Museum’s largest annual fundraiser, where we’ll explore the renowned wine regions of America’s West Coast, including Napa Valley, California and Willamette Valley, Oregon, through a spectacular variety of food-and-wine pairings curated by sommeliers Yvonne Cavalieri, Brandon Giles, and Trip Sandifer of Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits and chef Larry Nicolais, Jr., of Constantino’s
This year’s event is moving to the amazing Constantino’s Catering venue in Clarks Summit, but we’ll be taking a little piece of the Everhart Museum along with us, as selected artworks from the Everhart’s collection will be displayed to complement the evening. The evening will be backdropped by fine music provided by a Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic String Trio. Also returning is an auction of priceless items and one-of-a-kind experiences to further support the Everhart’s mission.

As we turn an eye towards winter, on Saturday, December 6, we’re hosting Snow Much Fun Community Day: Warmth Around the World. The event features free admission to the Museum from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and free activities, crafts, live music by Doug Smith’s Jaxx Trio, and much more from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.! In the spirit of giving, our friends from Swap Scranton will host a free community clothing swap to help share warmth with others.
Fall Exhibitions at the Everhart Museum

Marking the 20th anniversary of the cultural phenomenon The Office, The Office Exhibition is open now through October 2027! (There is a soft opening period through November 9, during which time it is included with regular Museum admission. After this time, there will be an additional charge.) This exhibition is an immersive tribute featuring original props, interactive displays, behind-the-scenes stories, and a nostalgic journey through all nine seasons, highlighting many of the series’ real-life connections with the area. Come celebrate the iconic bond between Scranton and America’s favorite workplace comedy, made possible by the City of Scranton, Lackawanna County, and the Lackawanna County Visitors Bureau.

On view through November 9, In the Shadows of the Night: Halloween Season at the Everhart is the perfect way to get into the Halloween spirit. In conjunction with the VAMPA Vampire and Paranormal Museum in Doylestown, PA, the Everhart is celebrating the season with a special exhibition of objects from VAMPA’s collection. There are numerous legends, myths, oral histories, and folklore throughout the world about the presence of vampires and the paranormal, and what better way to scare up the season than with items that delve into the mysteries surrounding the idea of vampires, spirits, and their connections throughout history? The exhibition will feature sculptures, paintings, and other items that focus the shadow world beyond our own.

Finishing up their runs at the Everhart in November are Sharon Cosgrove: Ethereal Transformations, on view through November 30, and Artwoven by Hand: The Work of Peg McDade, on view through November 30.
Sharon Cosgrove, a Wilkes-Barre-based artist and former Wilkes University Art professor, creates images that invite viewers to pause, reflect, and find stillness in a world of constant distraction. Her art blurs the line between reality and perception, offering a quiet space of balance and possibility.
