SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — More details on an arrest connected to a July homicide in Scranton were released by the Lackawanna County District Attorney Tuesday.
Court documents were sealed in July as police searched for Ricardo Nunez-Cruz, 21, who they say shot and killed 39-year-old Clinton Thornton-Hill.
Scranton Police announced Monday that Nunez-Cruz was arrested in New York City.
According to the released court documents, a warrant was issued for Nunez-Cruz July 23, six days after the July 17 shooting.

During the investigation, police say they used security camera footage and multiple witnesses to identify Nunez-Cruz after he fled from the Hyde Park Avenue house where the shooting happened.
After interviews with witnesses, police said they were told Nunez-Cruz and Thornton-Hill were arguing over money and got into a fight when two shots were fired. Nunez-Cruz also allegedly hit Thornton-Hill in the head with his gun multiple times.
Nunez-Cruz faces several charges, including homicide and aggravated assault. The date for his preliminary trial is unknown.
Police said Monday he was in custody at Rikers Island in New York City, pending extradition to Pennsylvania.
