Rescue dogs from California arrive in Pennsylvania
Fifteen rescue dogs from overcrowded shelters in California have been relocated to Pennsylvania as part of the Brandywine Valley SPCA’s Second Chance program.
The dogs are now at the Humane Society of the Harrisburg Area.
“We’re here because we love animals. We want to do everything we can to find them the best homes possible. To see their happy faces and know that we’re going to be able to help them means a lot to all of us,” Amanda Brunish of the Humane Society of Harrisburg said.
The dogs still need to be spayed, neutered, and checked by a veterinarian. Officials hope they will be available for adoption by the end of the week.
