READING, Pa. – The Santander Arena and Santander Performing Arts Center in Reading could be getting new names.
The venues, both managed by Oak View Group, are celebrating their 25th anniversary season this year.
With this monumental year, officials say the Berks County Convention Center Authority has authorized Oak View Group’s Global Partnerships division to secure a new naming rights partner for the venues.
Officials say while the venue names will eventually change, their commitment to delivering exceptional live entertainment and creating memorable experiences for guests will remain unchanged.
Sovereign Bank had the naming rights for the venues until 2013, when it merged with Santander Bank.
Oak View Group has voiced its appreciation to Santander Bank for their partnership, saying they are incredibly grateful for their support over the years.
“We truly enjoyed our time working together, and Santander will always be an important part of the rich history of these venues,” officials say.
Executives say the name won’t change until a new partner is found.
