A Pennsylvania vendor, headed to a Camden County music festival, is arrested with large quantities of marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms.
The Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force had received information that Kevin Jones, 45, of Easton, Pennsylvania, whose nickname is ‘Bluntman’, was planning to distribute a large amount of marijuana during the Gathering of the Juggalos Festival this weekend in Macks Creek. Jones is listed on the event’s webpage as supplying marijuana at the festival for the past 20 years.
It was Monday when members of the task force stopped Jones as he was driving on Highway 54 in Osage Beach. A K9 at the scene indicated drugs were present in Jones’ pickup truck and camper. A search turned up 128 pounds of marijuana products and 2.5 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms.
Jones was charged Monday with first-degree drug trafficking and delivery of a controlled substance.
Court documents state Jones was arrested in Camden County just three days after he was released from incarceration in his home state for drug violations.
The Gathering of the Juggalos Festival begins Wednesday and wraps up on Sunday. This is the festival’s 26th year.
