SALISBURY TWP., Pa. – This Saturday at Cedar Beach Park what’s been known as the International Cultural Festival is returning with a new name.

Lehigh Valley Culture Fest combines music, dance and food in a way that celebrates what the region has to offer.

Judge Linda Vega Sirop, Executive Director of the Rilyc, visited 69 News at Sunrise and talked about some of the events the festival offers.

The festival kicks off at noon this Saturday at Cedar Beach Park and runs until 9 p.m.

Organizers say the festival will feature live performances by Philadelphia Funk Authority, Space Kamp, Sin Limite with Band, cultural dance groups, poetry, mime, Indian dance, belly dance, youth showcases, and more.

Sirop said the event offers a diversity of music, food, arts, and sports. The festival will feature international acts, including Latin bands.

“It is literally like walking around the world in one day,” she said.

Guests will be able to enjoy an Adult Field Day, the Average Joe’s Adult Basketball Tournament, and local food trucks and vendors.

Sirop said the ultimate goal is to bring the community together, to showcase who the community is.
