WHITEHALL TWP., Pa- An insurance agency that’s been a presence in the Lehigh Valley for decades is making moves in Lehigh County.
This week, Peters Insurance held an open house at its new office at 235 Pershing Blvd. in Whitehall Township.
It joins the company’s flagship office outside Northampton, at 559 Nor-Bath Blvd. in Allen Township.
A previous location at 1501 S. 4th St. in Allentown is now closed.
Peters Insurance is licensed to sell many types of business and personal insurance in Pennsylvania and Maryland. It’s been operating for nearly 50 years.
The agency was founded by David Peters in 1978, and, according to company lore, he did it the old-fashioned way, “with hard work and shoe leather,” going door-to-door to meet prospective clients.
“David took his clients’ needs to heart and did his best to simplify the complexities of insurance. His goal was to provide ‘as near perfect protection, as near perfect service, as is humanly possible, and to do so at the lowest possible cost,'” the company’s website reads.
Today, Peters’ daughter- Elizabeth Hildebeidel- leads the agency.
Peters Insurance is an independent agency that works with a number of insurance companies.
