Representatives from the Wyoming Valley Athletic Association recently made a donation to Wyoming Area boys basketball coach Anthony Macario, who is participating in the Gentleman’s Dash on Sept. 19 in downton Scranton as part of the Paint the Planet Pink’s effort to fight cancer. The donation was made possible through funds raised from the Dr. George P. Moses Senior All-Star Classic, which was held in March. The Classic, sponsored by the WVAA and The Citizens’ Voice, features the top senior boys and girls basketball players in the Wyoming Valley Conference and it raises money to benefit groups and individuals in the Wyoming Valley.
