S. WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. – A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a vehicle in South Whitehall Township Tuesday night.
Officers with the South Whitehall Township Police responded to the 3300 block of Hamilton Boulevard for a report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle shortly after 11 p.m., township police said in a news release.
Township police said officers found a man suffering from serious injuries.
He was treated at the scene and then brought to a local hospital, where he later died, according to township police.
Police said Hamilton Boulevard was temporarily closed while officers investigated the crash and processed the scene.
The incident remains under investigation by the South Whitehall Township Police Department, with assistance from the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office.
