TROY, PA (WENY) — A man from Cambria County is in the hospital after allegedly leading Pennsylvania State Police on a high speed chase in Bradford County.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, troopers were alerted to a man with multiple arrest warrants who was reportedly fixing a flat tire in the parking lot of Fellowship Bible Church on Mud Creek Road on Wednesday a little before 1 P.M.
When troopers arrived, authorities say Dakota Baillie, 31, of Cassandra PA got in his vehicle and sped off while only having three tires. Police say the vehicle fled onto Orchard Hill Road, where Baillie failed to negotiate a curve and went off the road before crashing.
State police say Baillie was partially thrown from the car; troopers performed first aid until EMS arrived on scene.
Baillie was taken by ambulance to Troy Hospital before being airlifted to an area hospital with suspected severe injuries.
State Police say the troopers involved in the incident have been placed on administrative leave, per department policy during the investigation.
