A road improvement project on Euclid Boulevard in Wesleyville Borough is scheduled to begin the week of August 31, bringing roadway, sidewalk and accessibility upgrades to a key local street.
The PennDOT project will cover approximately 0.14 miles of Euclid Boulevard between Route 430 (Station Road) and Willow Street. Planned improvements include full road reconstruction, paving, installation of new concrete sidewalks and curbs, and construction of ADA-compliant curb ramps.
Preliminary work is expected to start during the week of August 31, with major construction anticipated to be completed by November 18, 2026. Landscaping associated with the project may continue into 2027.
Motorists traveling through the area should expect lane restrictions during construction. Traffic will be maintained using flaggers, and drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time while work is underway.
The project will be completed by Joseph McCormick Construction Inc. of Erie under a contract valued at $852,223.11. The work will be funded entirely through federal dollars.
PennDOT officials said the project is part of a broader effort to maintain and improve transportation infrastructure throughout northwest Pennsylvania. The agency’s Northwest Region expects to undertake work on more than 100 projects during the 2026 construction season.
Drivers are reminded to use caution in work zones by reducing speeds, avoiding distractions and following directions from signs and flaggers. PennDOT emphasizes that safe driving practices help protect both motorists and roadway workers.
Travelers can monitor roadway conditions, traffic delays and construction updates through the free 511PA system, which is available online, by phone and through mobile applications for iPhone and Android devices.
