Families with young children have another reason to visit the Camden waterfront this year. Adventure Aquarium is offering a free Pre-K Adventure Pass that gives children ages 2 to 5 unlimited admission for a full 12 months.
The pass is part of the aquarium’s push to make the attraction more accessible to young families. Adventure Aquarium features New Jersey’s longest shark tunnel, the world’s longest shark bridge, thousands of aquatic species and a rare hippo exhibit, along with daily live shows and hands-on touch experiences designed to keep preschoolers engaged.
To take part, parents and guardians must register online at the aquarium’s website. After registering, they must visit the aquarium in person to activate the pass at the box office by Oct. 25, bringing proof of the child’s age, such as a birth certificate, passport, or similar document. Once activated, the pass allows the child free entry for an entire year, though the accompanying adult still needs a paid ticket or membership.
Adventure Aquarium is at 1 Riverside Drive in Camden, New Jersey, just across the Delaware River from Philadelphia. The attraction has repeatedly landed among USA Today’s Top 10 Aquariums nationally in the publication’s Readers’ Choice Awards, drawing visitors for its shark exhibits, penguin colony, and Nile hippos, among the only ones on display at any aquarium in the world.
For families with preschool-aged children, the free pass offers a low-cost way to build regular outings into the year, whether for a rainy afternoon, a birthday celebration, or simply a chance to see the sharks up close. Supplies are limited, and the aquarium has noted the offer could end before the activation deadline if registrations fill up.
Parents interested in signing up are encouraged to register as early as possible and schedule their activation visit well before the October deadline to avoid missing out.
