SCRANTON — The late Dr. Wayne J. Sebastianelli, a longtime Penn State sports medicine leader, will be honored at a Greater Scranton Penn State Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association celebration on Sunday, Oct. 4.
Proceeds will benefit the Dr. Wayne Sebastianelli Memorial Nursing Program Endowment.
Matt McGloin, former Penn State and NFL quarterback and a Scranton native, plans to attend.
Sebastianelli, a native of Jessup, served as director of athletic medicine for Penn State athletics for more than 30 years.
The event at the Waldorf in Scranton, from 1 to 4 p.m., costs $30 and includes pulled pork, barbecue chicken, salad, coleslaw, corn on the cob, dessert, soda, tea and coffee.
