WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. – 145 Southbound is closed after an accident that caused a car to hit a nearby pole, police say.
Initial reports say the crash occurred around 11 a.m. Friday morning.
Witnesses on the scene say damage can be seen to two cars involved in the crash, and airbags went off in at least one of the cars. Photos of the scene show tread marks on the roadway.
The accident happened at the intersection of MacArthur Rd. and S. Church St, witnesses say.
According to witnesses, at least one person was taken to the hospital with injuries.
The extent of injuries is unknown, but emergency personnel did respond to the crash.
The cause of the accident is not yet confirmed.
