There’s a new spot in Berks County where students can socialize and be creative in a safe environment.
“The Lounge” on Saint Lawrence Avenue in Saint Lawrence opened its doors earlier Friday night.
There, students can study, get help with schoolwork and just hang out with friends.
The space offers everything from video games and ping-pong to live music and a study area.
Its founder says there was a need in the community for a space where students can go after school to unwind and not be glued to screens.
“In the height of technology, students, especially teens, are on their phones and devices, a lot, spaces like The Lounge are very hard to come by, where they can have those face to face interactions,” Stacia Miller, founder of the Lounge, said.
The Lounge is open to all students across Berks County.
