* WHAT…High risk of rip currents expected.
* WHERE…In Ohio, Cuyahoga, Lake and Ashtabula Lakeshore
Counties. In Pennsylvania, Northern Erie County.
* WHEN…From midnight EDT tonight through Monday evening.
* IMPACTS…Wind and wave action will cause currents on the
lakeshore. Swimmers should not enter the water. Currents can
carry swimmers away from shore through a sand bar and along
structures extending out into the lake.

Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions.

* WHAT…West winds 15 to 20 knots and waves 3 to 6 feet
expected.
* WHERE…The nearshore waters of Lake Erie from Avon Point OH
to Ripley NY.
* WHEN…From midnight tonight to midnight EDT Monday night.
* IMPACTS…Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.

Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
vessels, should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions.

…FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EDT THIS EVENING…
* WHAT…Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE…Portions of northeast Ohio, including the following areas,
Ashtabula Inland, Ashtabula Lakeshore, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake,
Mahoning, Portage, Stark, Summit and Trumbull and northwest
Pennsylvania, including the following areas, Crawford, Northern
Erie and Southern Erie.
* WHEN…Until 10 PM EDT this evening.
* IMPACTS…Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– Several rounds of thunderstorms are expected this afternoon into
this evening. Most of the area will receive at least 1 inch of
rain with localized amounts as high as 3 to 4 inches. These
higher amounts may lead to localized flash flooding, especially
in urban corridors and other flood-prone areas.
