LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. – It’s a birthday a century in the making.
World War Two Veteran Wendell Sherman is celebrating his 100th birthday!
His family put together a party for him Saturday – full of everyone who loves him.
That includes his wife – Doris. The pair are coming up on their 75th wedding anniversary.
Wendell is a combat veteran, a graduate of Lafayette, and a former Lehigh University teacher.
We asked him how he felt about reaching this major milestone.
“Being 100 years old is rather remarkable in the first place. I wonder often what I did right to make it happen. But, I’ve enjoyed life and I think I’ve done a good job at it.”
