The Erie County Community Health Center recently announced updates to its board of directors, including the election of a new board president and the appointment of four new board members.
Mary Bohn Supina was voted by her peers to serve as the new president, according to a news release. Bohn Supina serves as the assistant director of the Sandusky Artisans Recovery Community Center, bringing years of grassroots advocacy, mental health support, and community organizing experience to her leadership role.
In addition to Bohn Supina’s appointment as president, the Health Center welcomes four new members to its board:
• Chris Gasteier, bringing an extensive background in education and community programming
• Christine Stark, director of the Sandusky Career Center, offering expertise in workforce development and vocational education
• Scott Thom, contributing strong business acumen and construction industry experience
• Kozetta Pool, bringing valuable business and strategic management expertise.
As an a Federally Qualified Health Center, the Erie County center board is patient-majority governed, ensuring that healthcare services remain responsive to the direct needs of the local community.

The newly appointed board members will help oversee strategic planning, financial stewardship, and program expansion to ensure high-quality primary, dental, and behavioral healthcare services remain accessible to all residents.
