Robert Hoppel (Bobby)
OBITUARY
Robert Hoppel (Bobby) 83, Scranton, PA, passed away on August 12, 2026, in Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest Hospital, after a 12 day illness. Bobby was born and raised in Scranton and was the son of the late William S. Hoppel and Concetta Cantarella Hoppel. He was the brother of the late Daniel M. Hoppel. He is survived by his sisters: Connie Antidormi (John) of Lake Ariel, PA and Maryann Hoppel Crowell (the late Jim Crowell) of Sea Isle City, NJ.
Bobby is survived by his daughters, Trina Uhlendorf (Richard Uhlendorf) of Moosic, and Traci Muracco of Jenkins Township, a son, Brandon Evans, Archbald; 3 grandchildren: Joseph Muracco, Vanessa Muracco and Nicholas Bohenek; and one great-grandchild, Cole Joseph Farrell. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Bobby spent many years working for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg. He eventually returned to Scranton after retirement.
Bobby was an avid golfer and could often be seen having breakfast with his circle of friends in Scranton. He enjoyed being with family and was always generous with his time and gifts. He held a deep understanding of the importance of loved ones.
Final arrangements will be private at the request of his family.
