SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — Scranton police are asking for the public’s help identifying the owner or owners of a pickup truck investigators say was involved in the theft of a trailer over the weekend.
Police said the trailer was stolen from the 1800 block of Ash Street on Sunday, Aug. 23.
Investigators released surveillance images showing a red Ford STX pickup truck towing the trailer and are hoping someone recognizes the vehicle or knows who owns it.
Police are also asking the public to closely examine an image showing a person near the truck and trailer.
The case is being investigated as Incident #26-37543.
Anyone with information about the vehicle, its owner or the theft is asked to contact Patrolman Nicholas Ivanoff at 570-348-4134 or NIvanoff@scrantonpa.gov.
Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Scranton police’s online tip system. The department maintains an online service specifically for anonymous tips and public assistance in identifying suspects.
Police have not released the value of the stolen trailer or additional details about the circumstances surrounding the theft.
