SALISBURY TWP., Pa. – Thousands of donated clothes part of a $5 fill-a-bag South Mall fundraiser for non-profit Caring Hearts.

Ted Martinez says you can buy as many $5 brown bags or $10 kitchen garbage bags as you want.

From 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the mall’s community room, the items will be available. What’s left over will be given away for free on Saturday.

Funds will go to supporting the non-profit, that also operates a boutique.

The goal is to help the homeless, less fortunate veterans, and anyone else down on their luck. This includes the non-profit.

“Hopefully it’ll help us to keep that store up and Slatington hitting up and running.” Martinez said.

That Slatington store, which gives away clothes for free is in jeopardy of closing.

A new land lord has doubled the rent. Martinez say they have until December 20 to figure out how to stay.

“We approximately give anywhere from 850 to like 1200 pieces of items away per week up there. So there is a dire need for all this,” he said.

A need you can fill.
