ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The principal of a middle school in the Allentown School District has resigned, as a new school year kicks off.
Harrison-Morton Middle School Principal Spencer Cameron submitted his resignation to pursue an opportunity that will allow him to return to his home community, the district said in a letter to middle school families and the community.
“We thank Mr. Cameron for his service to Harrison-Morton and wish him well in his next chapter,” the district said.
The district said Mr. Frank Derrick will serve as Acting Principal. Derrick has served as both a middle and high school principal in the district, according to the letter.
The district said its priority is to ensure that student learning continues without disruption and that students and staff feel supported.
