SALISBURY TWP., Pa. – Is what you’re putting in your child’s lunchbox safe?

Back-to-school health is not only about food. It’s about what kids are drinking from, what their food is stored in, and more!

Eve Russo was in the kitchen with nutritionist Luisa Szakacs to share some tips.

Szakacs said to try and avoid plastics when you can.

She recommends using a bento box for school lunches. She noted it’s easy to wash and reuse.

A stainless water bottle is a good way to go, she said.

She noted carrots, blueberries, and apples are good nutritious snacks to include for school lunches.
