ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Two people were charged over the weekend during a targeted enforcement initiative focusing on the illegal operation of motorbikes.
To address ongoing quality of life concerns within the city of Allentown, the Allentown Police Department, in coordination with the Pennsylvania State Police, executed the initiative this past weekend, according to a news release from APD.
Police say the latest operation led to the impoundment of five motorbikes, numerous traffic citations, and formal charges against two individuals. Andy Joan Fuentes-Cruz, 29, of Allentown, faces charges including evading arrest, while Manuel Armando Pimentel, 43, of Whitehall, is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police, resisting arrest, and recklessly endangering another person.
The City of Allentown Police Department says it will continue targeting the illegal use of motorbikes to address quality of life issues and ask anyone with information about the motorbikes to report it to the Police Desk at 610-437-7753 (ext 1), or, anonymous text tips can be sent via the Tip411 App available on the Allentown Police Facebook Page or via the Allentown Police Department website.
