ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Firefighters responded Tuesday afternoon to a two-alarm blaze at a home in Allentown.
Lehigh County Communications received the call at 2:12 p.m. for the fire at the home on the 1900 block of East Livingston Street.

The home was a single-family residence, according to Allentown Fire Department Captain Jon Hammel.
Firefighters found fire to the rear of the home that was spreading quickly. PPL was requested as an urgent response due to arcing wires and were quick to respond to control the hazard.
As of late Tuesday afternoon, the fire was largely under control.

The residents and their pets escaped the home with no injuries, according to a news release from the fire department. The 3 adults and 4 children have been displaced and are being assisted by the Pennsylvania Rivers Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Crews remain on the scene to continue the investigation and to ensure that all fire is extinguished.
