Steven Eugene Eachus
OBITUARY
Steven Eugene Eachus, 69 of Lynchburg VA formerly of Boyertown, PA went home to be with His Lord and Savior after a very brief battle with Lung Cancer. He was the husband of Karen (Werstler) Eachus and they would have celebrated their 49th Anniversary on September 18th.
Born on July 4, 1957 in West Chester, PA, he was the son of the late Carol (Burkholder) Harple and the late Walter Eachus.
Steve loved his family, and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He treasured the times we were all together. He loved to play softball and golf when he was able. He was Steve was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan even after he moved to Virginia. Sometimes finding it hard to watch a game because he was out of the Broadcast area.
Steve graduated from Boyertown High School in 1975. He was a graduate of Reading Community College in 1985 and Cabrini University in 1999. He was a very Patriotic American. He served 4 years in the United States Air Force. He was proud to work at Lockheed Martin in King of Prussia, PA for 20 years until his Heart Disease forced him on disability in 2005.
He was predeceased by his Stepmother Irma (Jones) Eachus, his Stepfather John Harple Sr. his sisters Janice Eachus, Sharon Eachus, Debby Meitzler, and his brother John Harple Jr.
He is survived by his children Matthew (Amanda), Eachus of Clifton Park NY, Katherine Eachus of Forest, VA and Rebekah (David) Mays of Forest, VA. His Grandchildren Avery (Austin) O’Briskie of Cedarville, OH, Drew, Noah and Evie Eachus of Clifton Park, NY. Anna and Ryan Mays of Forest VA. And his Granddoggies, Winnie, Henry and Ellie.
He is also survived by his brothers Michael Eachus Sr, Rick Durborow, and sisters Lynda (Keith) Pike, MaryAnn Harple, Fran (Ralph) Romig, Judy Viola, and Joan Durborow. Also, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Pennsylvania.
