Heavy metal music festival Friday at Montage
Berzerkus: Black Label Society, Lamb of God and Suicidal Tendencies is set for Friday at the Pavilion at Montage Mountain,Scranton, featuring extra acts like Fan Halen, Bonfire and Use Your Illusion. Sturgeon Moon Glow Float at Frances Slocum Lake
The Sturgeon Moon Glow Float will take place at Frances Slocum Lake on Friday from 7:45 to 10:30 p.m. at Frances Slocum State Park, 565 Mount Olivet Road, Kingston Twp. The event is a two-hour moonlit paddle on the lake as the sturgeon moon lights up the night sky. Decorate your kayak with glow sticks, LED lights and neon gear and enjoy a peaceful evening paddle across the lake. Hot dogs and s’mores around the campfire follow. Hazleton Area Children’s Festival will be held Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Hazle Twp. St. Paul’s U.C.C. Concert in the Lot
St. Paul’s U.C.C. Concert in the Lot, Sunday, 5-7:30 p.m., 100 E. Main St., Ringtown, Schuylkill County. Food, drinks and ice cream sundaes will be available for purchase. The Catawissa Military Band will play from 6-7 p.m. Founded in 1878, the band plays a wide variety of music, including classical, jazz, patriotic, marches, polkas, hymns and show tunes.
