Passengers who are going through security at Lehigh Valley International Airport have a new option if they realize they are carrying an item prohibited by the Transportation Security Administration.
Instead of having it confiscated, passengers can use a new service known as Flippit. It’s an airport-authorized service that allows travelers to securely ship TSA-prohibited items back to their home or to another address.
According to its website, Flippit will deliver it anywhere in the U.S. for a flat fee — packed, insured and tracked — in seven to 10 business days. Payment is made by scanning a QR code on a receipt that is taken from the envelope.
LVIA’s Flippit collection box is on the second level of the Main Terminal before the TSA checkpoint.
The new service comes as the airport reported 111,412 passengers passing through LVIA last month, the highest monthly traffic level on record and an 8.55% increase from July 2025.
