BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Bethlehem Police say two people were injured after an argument turned into a large fight and stabbing Tuesday afternoon.
Tyheem Gainey-Stewart, 24, of Whitehall, and Imani Sade Sajous, 23, both face charges, the Bethlehem Police Department said in a news release.
Gainey-Stewart is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, and recklessly endangering another person, while Sajous faces simple assault and harassment charges.
City police said officers were sent to 2180 Motel Drive for a report of a large fight involving multiple people in the parking lot.
Officers were also told that people involved in the fight had been stabbed, according to the news release.
Police said a 19-year-old man and a juvenile were injured and brought to a local hospital for treatment.
After an investigation, detectives determined that a verbal argument involving the 19-year-old and Gainey-Stewart escalated into a physical confrontation involving multiple people, city police said.
City police said Gainey-Stewart stabbed the 19-year-old man during the fight.
Police say Sajous used a knife during a fight with the juvenile after the confrontation continued into the parking lot.
The investigation remains active, police said.
