America’s 250th birthday may have passed, but Lackawanna County is still celebrating.
Officials unveiled Lackawanna County’s Bells Across PA piece Wednesday morning along North Washington Avenue in Scranton.
Local artist Austin Burke painted the bell, featuring iconic landmarks including Steamtown, PNC Field, the iron furnaces and a coal mine breaker.
The bell sits in front of the Lackawanna County Courthouse.
Burke was honored for capturing the area’s rich history and its impact on America.
